At Kinetic Health, we approach Chiropractic Care from a neuro/biomechanical approach that is strongly supported by the latest scientific studies. We use Chiropractic manipulation to treat musculosketetal conditions, relieve pain, improve function by restoring freedom of motion, and improve nervous system function by manipulating both the spinal column and the body’s extremities. At Kinetic Health, we use treatment methods that combine osseous manipulation (hands-on adjustments) with soft-tissue techniques (Active Release Technique, Graston Technique).
These treatments are supplemented by specific rehabilitation exercises that strengthen weakened muscle groups, improve flexibility, and assist in preventing conditions from returning.

Active Release Techniques (ART) has become one of most sought after soft-tissue treatments in the world today. ART is often your best bet in resolving a chronic soft-tissue injury.
ART is one of the most effective forms of treatment for a wide variety of soft-tissue and repetitive-motion injuries. ART can aid in the rapid recovery from a broad range of soft-tissue injuries.
ART is widely used by industry professionals suffering from cumulative injury traumas, as well as athletes (both professional and week-end warriors) who have suffered from a sports-related injury. For example, ART has helped Olympic athletes from many countries achieve up to gold medal status.
At Kinetic health we provide a very high standard of care with Active Release Techniques.
Dr. Abelson is a fully certified provider of ART, and an instructor of ART. In addition Dr. Abelson is a contributing author of the ART Online Biomechanics Manual – which is used by ART to train other physicians in biomechanical analysis and ART. He is also the co-author of the only book about ART which has been written for the general public.

Graston Techniques is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The Graston Technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. This technique was was originally developed by athletes.

The more effective your body biomechanics are, the less energy you will expend, and the better your body will perform.
Performance care acts to improve an athlete’s performance in his or her chosen sport. Subtle or gross changes in the physiology of an athlete’s body can have tremendous impact on the time and effort required to perform an activity.
See Biomechanical Analysis and Performance Care for more information and examples of biomechanical analysis for runners and golfers.

Eating the right foods for your body can help to heal your body and keep you strong. Imbalanced dietary habits contribute to your body’s susceptibility to inflammation.
Inflammation is now thought to play a role in pathological conditions ranging from anemia and allergy to coronary heart disease, diabetes, dementia, psoriasis and even stroke. From inflamed gums that may contribute to cardiovascular disease, to playing a crucial role in fanning the flames of cancer cell growth, inflammation has been implicated in many more diseases than was previously believed.
Fifty million Americans suffer form chronic, daily pain; much of this can be related to inflammation. Those who suffer from chronic, daily pain have a significant increased risk of dying from cancer. The problem is that with most pharmacological measures to inhibit inflammation (Arachodonic cascades to PGE2) there are serious side effects. Side effects such as GI bleeds, liver damage, kidney damage, and a wide variety of other serious effects.
At Kinetic Health we offer Nutritional Counseling to help you meet your body’s nutritional requirements.
Each year people spend a lot of money on orthotics and don’t get the results they expect. Often, this is simply the result of not evaluating your bio-mechanics properly and gaining a clear understanding of the true cause of the problem or determining if an orthotic is even needed!
That is why, at Kinetic Health, we conduct a thorough, comprehensive bio-mechanical assessment on each and every patient. It is imperative to get all the bio-mechanical information possible so that we can design an appliance that is right for you if it is needed.
